The storyof this trailblazer begins with humble beginnings and the discouragement of school counselor. Queen had a speech impediment that made it difficult for people to understand her clearly.
But! Despite all the odds, she propelled to heights that many thought were impossible.
While still serving in the U.S. Army, she opened not one but two successful vegan restaurants, breaking boundaries and paving the way for future entrepreneurs. After 20 years of service, she retired from the army as the first African American female to achieve the rank of First Sergeant in field artillery history. Her achievements were not just limited to the military, as she would be featured in the news, win many awards and go on to create The Rehearsal Stage.
